If you love music, you will love On The Record. This Las Vegas Nightclub unlike any nightlife destination in Vegas. This 11,000 sq. ft. speakeasy/nightclub is an exploration of discovery with unexpected surprises around every corner. Jonnie and Mark Houston, twin brothers hailing from L.A., created this original entertainment experience.
Hidden behind a record store entrance off the main casino floor, On The Record features three differently themed rooms with indoor/outdoor areas, plenty of space for dancing, drinking, and socializing, a world-class cocktail program with the best mixologists around the country, and a room with a tape deck wall lined with 100s of cassettes from various artists throughout musical history. Within this wall is a secret doorway to the exclusive Vinyl Parlor with a max capacity of 25. The walls in this hidden speakeasy are covered with 100s of full-sized albums from various artists of all genres. They are available for guests to remove and give to the bartenders as inspiration for a unique handcrafted cocktail. Other cool features include pinball machines, jukeboxes, a vintage Rolls Royce DJ booth, private karaoke rooms, a patio with a double-decker bus equipped with a bar and DJ booth, live performances, and more. Park MGM Nightclub Details
We love the "old school" speakeasy layout; it's perfect for wandering around, relaxing, and socializing. From walls filled with old TVs and cassettes to a Rolls Royce DJ booth in the main room with plenty of tables and three private karaoke rooms, a laid-back living room, and a festive outdoor patio with a double-decker bus that has been turned into a bar and DJ booth made from the front end of an old Rolls Royce, you will undoubtedly find something of interest when strolling through this joint. A couple of honorable mentions are the certified master mixologists brought in from around the country to create unique song-inspired cocktails based on the guests' musical selection.
What is the Music at On The Record?
We are calling all my Open-Format music fans for this diamond of a club – Open Format music is Hip Hop, EDM Club tracks, Latin night tunes, and Top 40 tracks. They even toss in some '80s and '90's to spice up the retro vibe. We do not charge to put you on the list, but the club reserves the right to provide a no cover or a reduced cover charge to people on the list. When there is a popular artist on Fridays and Saturdays, they will usually have a hefty cover. For men, you can expect $30 to $50+ each, and ladies are usually $20-$30+ each. Get on the guestlist for:
- Ladies comp admission.
- Men comp or reduced.
- We recommend early arrival before 10 PM as they tend to close the guest list early.
- Hard cut-off for the list at 1 AM unless they close the list early
On The Record's Insider's Guide
On prominent artist Saturdays, they don't care much about the guest list-goers. Management would rather have the ticket money, so get tickets and don't let a miserable, over-heated line dampen your trip. Vegas is pay-to-play on Saturdays, and it is worth it! If they do have a headlining artist or if it's a holiday weekend like Memorial Day(/nightlife-guide/memorial-day-weekend.html), Labor Day (/nightlife-guide/labor-day-weekend.html), or a special event weekend like Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), expect a longer wait. You will need tickets.

On The Record is an upscale, sophisticated club. Ladies, please dress the part, and keep it classy – your heels must stay on your feet the entire evening or risk getting removed from the club. Gentlemen think upscale casual. Please, no shorts, gym shoes, athletic gear, or baggy clothing – dress shoes, jeans, and a designer shirt is appropriate. If you want to look good, suit up, and you will stand out in the crowd. Note: If you think you won't be turned away for not following the mandatory dress code, think again. Security for the Las Vegas Nightclubs
The nightclub entry screening process is taken very seriously in Las Vegas. It's like going through TSA at the airport, but WORSE!! It is so strict we felt compelled to compile a complete Las Vegas Security guide. Please make sure you read it before heading to a nightclub or Vegas pool party. They have full-on security at the door; they search hard and make you pass by a wand metal detector. Any drugs, including weed, are strictly prohibited, and they will kick you off the property if caught with them. Bonus Tip: Don't bring gum or vape pens with removable cartridges; security will make you toss them.
