The Venetian is the largest AAA Five-Diamond rated Resort in the Americas. And its premier nightclub, TAO, named after the process of nature by which all things change is at 42,000 square feet, among the largest entertainment complexes in the world.

The TAO concept blends Asian tradition with New York sophistication. The decor features lush silks, velvets, waterfalls, century old woods and stones, and a hand-carved 20-foot Buddha floating above an infinity pool. The venue blends fine dining and nightlife, offering a nightclub, bistro, and an ultralounge. You should also consider going to TAO's sister club, LAVO. TAO is a wilder and larger; LAVO is subdued and a bit more intimate. Both are excellent spots, and they're so close together that you may as well visit both.

TAO Nighclub is open Thursday and Friday 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. and Saturday from 9:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. TAO Bistro is open Sunday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. TAO lounge is open seven days a week, 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.

TAO is a blast - always. Love it On weekends it can be a little too intense, a little too crowded. Still fun, but come on - what club doesn't anticipate girls will be making a mad rush to the bathroom? They've got individual compartments complete with sink and toilet. And they don't have too many of them, so the line is out of control. When you break the seal, you know you're done for it. I had to find a bouncer and tip the guy $20 to escort me to the front of the bathroom line. That's a little absurd to me. I heard that Paris Hilton doesn't bother with waiting in line for the bathroom. She just squats in the first corner she can find. At first I thought that was foul... like she's a beast or a wild dog. But after seeing the bathroom line at TAO, I think Paris may be the smartest girl in the room.
